Living in fear of being alone and hope of being loved.

This is how I lived all my life. From my dad to my ex-husband to the guy I dated for two years... painful,  draining and soul killing. 

How do you get out of a deep-rooted program like this? First off, you have to be honest with yourself. I say it in almost every blog I write… honesty is the key virtue that will set you free. It’s very simple - not easy!-  you have to be honest towards yourself and the motives behind every emotion and action. 

Here, I had to be honest towards:

• What is triggering the fear of being alone?  
• Where did it come from?
• What does being alone really mean to me?
• What would happen if I were alone?

You can ask yourself the same questions. They are to be answered from a heart-centered place. You cannot answer it from your head as your ego will try to override and protect you. I see it all the time with my clients. That is why they work with me, to dig deep and get out of the story they’ve been living in for years. 

What I found when I moved through this deep-rooted pattern is a very young version of me that was truly scared of not having her needs met. That little girl didn’t know how to take care of her needs. She was scared as shit! Not surprising that every time the adult me was succeeding and accomplishing great things, my subconscious was taking over and sabotaging my success. It didn’t match my unconscious program of “I can’t take care of my basic needs”!!! 

As soon as I tapped into that, I was able to care for the young me and it changed everything. I no longer was hoping to be loved and no longer feared being alone as the young me had the big me! She (I) was not alone anymore and no longer hoped to be loved… I had found both within myself. 

This work is very freeing. If you want to experience inner peace and freedom, you have to be willing to go deep down into yourself and look at wounds that are very uncomfortable to move through. The rewards are HUGE. The space it makes inside you and the joy that is able to come in are incredible. Try it!
